The steady increase in renal biopsies over the last 35 years has brought with it excellent job opportunities in a diverse range of settings, both private and academic, with salaries comparable to other subspecialties in pathology. Good working conditions and the daily challenge of evaluating distinct cases makes for an exciting and accomplished career for the promising, young renal pathologist.
